Alice Washington Brogden, 87, of Creedmoor passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Duke Regional Medical Center.
Alice was born in Granville County on January 5, 1935, to Battle George Washington and Lois Belle Jones Washington.
She was a member of Community United Methodist Church in Butner and she retired from John Umstead Hospital after many years of service.
Memorial services will be held Monday, November 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home of Creedmoor officiated by Reverend Norma Roberts.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Parham (Linda) and James "Jim" Brogden (Debbie); four grandchildren, Chris, Kim, Allison and Kellie; eight great-grandchildren, Austin, Jay, Ava, Ella, Corbin, Blaire, Sheperd and Hayes; six sisters, Carolyn W. Harris, Judy W. Seagroves, Gail W. Crabtree, Connie Joan Separk, Bonnie Jean Northington and Cindy Washington and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Maxie Carl Parham and her second husband, James Edward Brogden.
The family will receive friends Monday, November 28, 2022, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home of Creedmoor.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community United Methodist Church, 507 W E St., Butner, NC 27509.
