Alma N. Renn

Alma Newton Renn, 96, of the Watkins Community, Henderson, NC died Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Maria Parham Health.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Horton Newton and Lucy Mills Newton.  She was the widow of Willie Edward Renn Jr.

Mrs. Renn was a retired employee of Continental Hosiery Inc.  She was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church, the Open-Door Sunday School Class, and the Church Choir.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Johnny Yount and the Rev. Josh Woodall.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving are her daughter, Kay R. Ayscue (John); two granddaughters, Megan A. Sanders (Philip) and Shannon A. Craun (Joe); and three great-grandchildren, Bryson Sanders, Addison Sanders, and Stetson Craun.   She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alease N. Wortham and Mildred N. Gallagher and a brother, Charles H. Newton Jr.

The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall of the church the hour prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Lee Overton, Brad Spain, Justin Pulley, Jason Pulley, Ben Pulley and Jerry Allen.
