Alton D. Tyre

Alton David Tyre 77, of Raleigh, NC passed away Friday, January 2, 2026.

Born in Lumberton, NC, he was the son of the late Alton Tyre and Ellen Marie Hubbard Tyre.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home in Henderson, conducted by Rev. Frank Sossamon. Private interment will follow the service.

Survivors include one sister, Jeanene Clopton (Ray); and one aunt, Emily Love Hubbard, along with his cousins, Tom Long, Jack Carroll, J.T. Hubbard and Jesse Hubbard.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepfather, William Donald Hyman.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
