Alvis T Cash

Alvis Tyree Cash 79, of Creedmoor, NC, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Granville County, he was the son of the late Otha Clayborne Cash and Alma Jackson Wilson Cash.

Alvis was of the Baptist faith as well as the owner of Cash's Welding and Boiler Repair. He loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed being outdoors.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor. Conducted by the Rev. Stan Jenkins. Interment will follow at South Granville Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Linda Tharrington Cash; one daughter, Wendy Lee Cash; one brother, Windle Cash; two special people that were like grandchildren, Bryson Lambert and Allison Lambert; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Juanita Cash Bowman; and one brother, William B. Cash.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday at Sossamon Funeral Home of Creedmoor one hour prior to the service from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. At other times they will be at the home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Brinkley, Bryson Lambert, Dale Cash, Maurice Cash, Brandon Cash and Stephen Horton.
