Angela Hunt Blackwell, 54, of Oxford passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026, at her home.

Born in Durham County on March 22, 1972, she was the daughter of Donna Frances Stegall and the late John Henry Hunt Jr.

Angela was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother and grandmother, and a treasured friend. Affectionately known as "GiGi", her grandchildren were the light of her life and she loved them immensely. Her love extended to all children, and she had a way of making each one feel loved and cherished. She had a big heart and was always there for others with a listening ear or comforting words. Angela had a special love for the beach, where she found peace and happiness. She loved her family deeply and treasured the friendships she made throughout her life.

Memorial services will be planned at a later date.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Blackwell; two daughters, Tiffany Morton (Jonathan) and Jennifer Blackwell (Wesley); five grandchildren, Madalyn Livengood, Mary Oakley, Hayden Morton, Carsyn Morton and Annabelle Morton; her mother, Donna Stegall Hunt; one sister, Diane Livengood (Ronald); one brother, Kenneth "Kent" Hunt, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members. Also surviving is her best friend, Christy Carroll, who was there for her and by her side though everything.
