Anne Tippett Cox, 97, of Henderson, NC, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Kerr Lake Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born in Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Clifton Sneed Tippett Sr and Sarah Evelyn Wilson Tippett. She was the widow of William David Cox Jr.

Anne was a longtime active member of First United Methodist Church in Henderson, where she played the piano for the Men's Bible Class, and preservice music. She was also a member of the Friends of the Library and enjoyed playing Bridge.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. George Loveland.  Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.

Survivors include two daughters, Sarah C. Lloyd (Bob) and Cathy C. Carver (Dave); four grandchildren, David Carver (Katherine), Ben Carver (Kim), Cameron Cremeens (Joey) and Morrison Lloyd (Megan); eight great-grandchildren, Will Carver, Andie Carver, Elysa Carver, Logan Carver, Hayes Cremeens, Paisley Richardson, Mattie Knight, and Wells Knight; along with two nephews, Bill Tippett and Bobby Tippett. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Cliff and Dot Tippett; and one nephew, Al Tippett.

Serving as pallbearers will be Morrison Lloyd, David Carver, Ben Carver, Len Swanson, Tom Church, Bill Tippett, Bobby Tippett and Joey Cremeens.

The family will receive friends Wednesday,  from 10:00-11:00 a.m., in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in Anne's name to First United Methodist Church, 114 Church St., Henderson, NC 27536.
