Arthur Willis Kimbell II

Arthur "Duke" Kimbell, 73, of Oxford, NC died Saturday, October 21, 2023, at his home.
Duke was born September 14, 1950, in Boston, MA. He was the son of the late Arthur R. Kimbell and Mona Jacob Kimbell.

Duke is survived by a daughter, Kate Brennan, her Husband Dan, a son, Jacob Kimbell, his wife Carolyn, four brothers, Andrew Kimbell, Daniel Kimbell (Lorie), Martin Kimbell and Charles Kimbell (Carolyn), two sisters, Abigail Kimbell (Ed Stryker) and Lou Gallagher, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Domey.

Squam Lake was Duke's favorite place in the world. He was a talented water skier and avid fisherman. Duke looked forward to the annual Kimbell fishing trip each May. He owned Kimbell Marine Service for nearly 30 years. People knew where to bring their boats to be fixed, so long as they understood they might get some ribbing on how the boat came to be in need of repair. Duke was a fixture on Squam and his legacy will forever be intertwined with the lake.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023. This will be at The Woodview Homes Clubhouse, 3024 Countryside Blvd., Manchester, NH 03102, from 12:00pm-4:00pm.
