Ashton
Grissom
March 10, 2023
Ashton Bradley Grissom, 31, of Oxford passed away Friday, March 10, 2023, at Duke University Hospital.
Born in Vance County, he was the son of Marvin Scott Grissom and Debora Bobbitt Eubanks.
Ashton is best described as being loving, fun, hardworking, loyal, thoughtful and generous. He made all our lives better in unique and special ways. Ashton was known for his dedicated work ethic and was lovingly referred to as "Mutt" and "Turbo" on the jobsite because of the strength and speed he gained from his infomercial bracelet. His sense of humor and way with words kept us laughing. He may not have always wanted to show it, but he had an incredibly soft side with an endearing heart that warmed us all and made a significant mark on our lives.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Pastor Jon Owens.
Survivors include two daughters, Addison and Olivia Grissom; his parents, Scott Grissom (Traci) and Debbie Eubanks; a sister, Morgan Boyd (Thomas); maternal grandmother, Dianne Bobbitt; paternal step-grandmother, Sandra Grissom and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marion Grissom and Sadie Jackson Grissom and his maternal grandfather, Charles H. Bobbitt.
Arrangements are by Sossamon Funeral Home of Oxford. Online condolences may be made at sossamonfuneralhome.com.
