Ava S. Ayscue

Ava Stevenson Ayscue, 85, of Henderson, NC passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at Duke University Hospital.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Jones Stevenson and Annie Mae Darnell Stevenson.  She was the widow of Charles Hamilton Ayscue.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Liberty Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. Burwell Stark.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery,

Surviving is a daughter, Cheryl A. Eaves (Michael); a son, Jerry W. Ayscue Sr. (Judy); five grandchildren, Jerry W. Ayscue Jr., Ryan Ayscue, Melissa Montague, Brandon Eaves and Jordan Holmes (Brian); thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall of Liberty Christian Church following the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Eaves, Keith Eaves, Tony Eaves, Brian Holmes, Shane Ayscue and Joel Ayscue.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty Christian Church, c/o Mattie May 1897 Epsom-Rocky Ford Road, Henderson, N.C. 27537.
