Barbara Allen, of Henderson, NC passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at UNC Rex Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Allen Sr.; two sons, Robbie Maddox Jr. (Tracie) and Ronnie Allen Jr. (Jessica); one daughter LeAnn Allen (Pooh); six grandchildren, Kelsey Maddox, Megan Maddox (Cody), Morgan Allen, Kendall Allen, Haleigh Allen, and Peyton Allen; five great-grandchildren; and her mother, Peggy Moss (Mike). She was preceded in death by her father, William James Newman, and a brother, Tommy Wayne Newman.

Barbara dedicated her life to caring for others, especially children. For 44 years, she owned and operated her daycare, where she cared for countless children who became part of her family. Every child who walked through her door was loved as her own, and every parent knew their little one was in the safest hands. Her heart and patience shaped generations, leaving behind a legacy of love that will live on in the lives she touched.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel in Henderson. Conducted by the Rev. Jeff Prewer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

At other times, visitors are welcome to visit with the family at Ronnie and Jessica Allen's home, 631 Parham Rd Henderson NC 27536, Sunday & Monday, October 19th & 20th from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
