Barbara K Floyd

Barbara Ann King Floyd – 85, of Henderson, NC, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late John Nathan King and Lillian Wade King. She was the widow of Charles Hunter Floyd.

Barbara was a faithful member of Cokesbury Methodist Church where she was also a member of the Ladies Bible Class. She was retired from Roses Stores.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Cokesbury Methodist Church. Conducted by Rev. Frank Sossamon and Rev. Michael Edmondson. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Charles Nathan Floyd (Debbie); one granddaughter, Amy Williams (Brian); one sister, Martha K Edwards of Raleigh; and several nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, John Nathan King Jr.

The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of the church one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. At other times they will be at the home of Charles and Debbie Floyd.

Pall bearers will be Travis Parrish, Scott Parrish, Jim Zilke, Adam Pegram, Dr. Cory Musselman and Brian Williams.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made to Amedisys Home Health Care, 3320 US-1 N, Franklinton, NC 27525 or Cokesbury Methodist Church, c/o Ruth Moss, 1705 Allison Cooper Rd, Henderson, NC 27537.
