Barbara R. Franklin

Barbara Robbins Franklin, 70, of Henderson, NC passed away Thursday, March 14,2024 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Halifax County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Carl L. Robbins and Mary Pauline Self Robbins.

She was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Henderson, conducted by the Rev. Ronnie Matthews.  Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.

Surviving is her husband, Thomas Wayne Franklin; two sons, Steven Wayne Hutson and Robin Keith Hutson (Melanie); two sisters, Linda Guill and Kathy Vaughan, one brother, Dennis Allen Robbins; and seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded by two brothers, Douglas Robbins and Jerry Dean Robbins and a stepdaughter Donna Franklin Morris.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home. All other times, they will be at her home.

Serving as pall bearers will be Chad Driggs, Greg Driggs, Tristan Driggs, Tyler Driggs, Lucas Franklin, Cecil Robbins, Jonathan Miller and Maconis Shearin Jr.

Flowers are accepted, or memorials may be made to Forest Hills Baptist Church, 30 S. Oliver Drive, Henderson, NC 27537.
