Betsy C. Lankford of Stovall, NC went home to her heavenly father on August 6, 2026.

She was born in Granville County, NC on August 21, 1945, to Williamson C. and Mina M. Currin. She had been in declining health after the passing of her husband Jack but persevered until the Lord called her home.

Betsy was predeceased by her parents, her husband Jack E. Lankford, her eldest brother, Julius "Jake" Currin and her sister, Lillie Shambley. She is survived by her brother John Currin, daughter, Sherry Spencer, three grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was beloved and will be greatly missed by all of her nieces and nephews, their children, and grandchildren.

She brought humor and cheer to friends and family alike, with her quick wit and jolly spirit. She cared deeply for all of her friends and family, including those in Christ, and the patients her nursing career brought into her life.

Betsy spent many years in the nursing field, and the majority of those as an LPN at Murdoch Center, Butner, NC and at Granville Medical Center, Oxford, NC.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Meadowview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
