Betty Jean Clark

Betty Jean Pendleton Clark 87, of Youngsville, NC, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Transitions HospiceCare in Raleigh.

Born in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Newman Fletcher Pendleton and Annie House Pendleton. She was the widow of Joseph Lonnie Clark.

Betty Jean was of the Baptist faith.

A visitation will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12: noon at Sossamon Funeral Home in Henderson. A private interment will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Henderson.

Survivors include one son, Daniel Clark (Katie); ten grandchildren, Kaitlyn Clark, Keira Clark, Nathaniel Clark, Marley Clark, Liam Clark, Aidan Clark, Kristie Tetterton Armstrong, Julie Tetterton, Scott Tetterton and Tracy Tetterton; as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Shelby Jean Clark Tetterton; one step daughter, Diane Clark Jackson; one son in law, Timmothy Tetterton; six sisters, Rachel Griffin, Lilie Privette, Margaret Debnam, Luna Faulkner, Christine Pendleton, and Jeanette Wilder; five brothers, Nathaniel Pendleton, David Pendleton, Neumer Fletcher Pendleton Jr, John Earl Pendleton and Dallas Avon Pendleton.
