Beverly Ross Hayes, 65, of Henderson, NC, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Duke University Hospital.

Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Elmo Ross Jr and Joyce Ann Walker Ross. She was the widow of William Ruffin Hayes III.

A funeral service will be held Friday, July 31, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home in Henderson. Conducted by Rev. Frank Sossamon. Interment will follow at Sunset Gardens.

Survivors include one daughter, Bridget Hayes; two sons, Brian Hayes (Heather) and Brandon Hayes; three grandchildren, Katelyn Hayes, Christopher Hayes and Brianna Hayes; one great grandchild, Parker Hayes; two sisters, Lynn Baker (Steven) and Missy Leonard (John); one brother, Jeffrey Ross; as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Tony Ross.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
