B. Wayne Rivers

Beverly Wayne Rivers, 82, of Henderson, N.C. passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024, in Oxford.

Born In Warren County, he was the son of the late J. Clement Rivers and Annie Cleaton Rivers.

He retired from the Vance County School System where he was employed in the Maintenance Department. He also was a long-time member of the Henderson Moose Lodge and of the Baptist Faith.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024, 2:00 p.m., at Sossamon Funeral Home of Henderson conducted by Rev. Bruce Beck.

Surviving is his wife of Fifty Years; Jacqueline Townsend Rivers, one brother-in-law; Darrell Townsend (Sherry), one sister-in-law; Dottie Miller (Ray), a special "son"; Danny Mangum (Leslie); special friend; Randy Newman, three nieces; Linda Roberson, Judy Starnes, Debbie Rivers, and two nephews; Curtis Williamson and Kenny Rivers. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son; Richie Rivers, one brother; Kenneth Rivers and one sister; Grace Williamson.
