Obituary

Billy Newcomb Ayscue 88, of Henderson, NC, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Ira Morris Ayscue and Virgie Arlene Abbott Ayscue.
Billy was a member of North Henderson Baptist Church and was active with Rebuilding Hope. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Gardens. Conducted by the Rev. Eddie Nutt.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-four years, Nancy Mustian Ayscue; one daughter, Cynthia Lynn Ayscue; one son, William Randall Ayscue (Susan); three grandchildren, Timothy Adam Ayscue (Stephanie), Andrea Ayscue Foley (Adam) and Scott Brame (Jessica); seven great grandchildren; one sister, Janet A. Swanner; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Ayscue Frazier; and one brother, James Coleman Ayscue.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery thirty minutes prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. At other times they will be at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Henderson Baptist Church, 1211 N. Garnett St., Henderson, NC 27536 or Rebuilding Hope, 414 Raleigh Rd., Henderson, NC 27536.
