Bobbie Jean Elliott Dampier 84, of Oxford, NC, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Duke University Hospital.

Born in Durham County, she was the daughter of the late William Marshal Elliott and Pearl Roberson Elliott.

Bobbie was a member of Tabbs Creek Baptist Church.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Conducted by the Rev. Stan Jenkins.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-six years, Lawrence Bailey Dampier; one son, Michael Dampier (Kim); and one niece, Billie Perez. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Ailene McGriff, Peggy Thomerson, Virginia Bennett and Edna Davis.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the graveside service. At other times they will be at the home.
