It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce Wayne Cromer Jr., age 51, of Oxford, NC, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 following a courageous battle with lung cancer, which later spread to his brain.
Bruce was born on January 17, 1974, in Greensboro, NC, to Bruce Cromer Sr. and Nancy Cromer. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Cromer, and his siblings, Randy (Michelle), Wanda (Kiki) Nora (John) and Kelvin "K" (Jessica) He was also Preceded in death by his father, Bruce Cromer Sr., his grandmother, Myrtle Dean, and his grandfather, Jesse Dean, as well as many other cherished family members.
Bruce leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his children: Jesse Allen Cromer (Elizabeth) and Emmanda "Danielle" Noblin (Alexander), along with his three granddaughters: Rebecca, Makenna, and Riley, who he loved dearly, as well as his granddogs, Willow and Winnie. He is also survived by his estranged wife, Angelina Cromer, his aunts and uncles, as well as many nieces, nephews, and close family friends. Bruce's two beloved cats, Tigger and Baby Kitten, were his constant companions and brought him much joy throughout his life.
A proud businessman, Bruce ran and owned his own construction company for over 15 years. He was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to bring people together.
Bruce had a deep love for the mountains and often traveled there to find peace and recharge. The beauty and tranquility of the mountains brought him great comfort, and it was there he often found solace and reflection. Traveling was a passion for Bruce, and he was always ready for his next adventure, whether it was to the mountains or somewhere new.
One of Bruce's most remarkable qualities was his ability to make friends with anyone he met. No matter where he went, he had a way of connecting with people and brightening their day. He had an open heart and was always willing to help those in need, often going out of his way to lend a hand or offer support. His generosity and kindness will be remembered by many.
Bruce had a passion for life that was truly infectious. Whether he was with family, friends, or strangers, he always found a way to raise hell and have fun, no matter the situation. His zest for life, his laughter, and his warm heart will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home in Oxford conducted by Pastor Gray Clayton. Interment will immediately follow at Tabbs Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at Sossamon Funeral Home in Oxford from 11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. At all other times they will be at the home of his mother.
Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Cromer, Nathaniel Lawson, John Hunt, Louis Daniel, Eduardo "Keke" Evans, and Craig Wiles.
A special thanks to Bruce's brother Randy Cromer, who provided exceptional care and support during Bruce's final days, as well as his mother, Nancy, for her constant support.
Bruce's family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
