Calvin R. Pegram

Calvin Ray "Bunch" Pegram, 85, of Henderson, NC died Sunday, March 12, 2023, in Louisburg, NC.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Hill Walter Pegram and Ellen Murphy Pegram.  He was the widower of Betty Ayscue Pegram.

Mr. Pegram was a retired tobacco farmer and also retired as a supervisor with Burkart Carolina Inc.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 17, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Blessed Hope Baptist Church, conducted by the Dr. Rev. Donald A. Perkinson. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Surviving are two daughters, Tammy P. Aiken and Cindy P. Blanks (Tommy); one sister, Shelia Davis (Herbert); four grandchildren, Will Aiken, Ashton Roberson, Ethan Roberson and Colton Aiken, and two great grandchildren, Hayden Morton and Karsyn Morton; three special nieces, Kim Oliver, Wendy Degard and Brandi Shearin.  Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Maynard Pegram and his son-in-law, Kirby Aiken.

The family will receive friends on Friday, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Blessed Hope Baptist.  All other times, they will be at the home of Tommy and Cindy Blanks 404 Julie McKnight Road, Kittrell, NC  27544.

Serving as pall bearers will be Will Aiken, Ashton Roberson, Ethan Roberson, Colton Aiken, Mickey Jackson and H.M. Pegram.

The family wishes to give a "Special Thank-You" to the staff at Louisburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their compassionate care shown to their father during this time.
