Claude Ancell Rooker Jr. "C A" 91, of Henderson, passed away Monday, January 27, 2025, at Maria Parham Health.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Claude Ancell Rooker Sr and Estelle Evans Rooker.

He attended City Road Methodist Church and South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church. C A was a Boy Scout Troop 691 leader for many years. He retired from Harriett & Henderson Yarns and the ABC Store.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel in Henderson. Conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.

Survivors include two sons, Claude Thomas Rooker and Scott Rooker (Pam); three grandchildren, Tyler Rooker (Brittany), Brooklyn Rooker and Cullom Rooker (Kenia); three great grandchildren, Zoey Rooker, Grayson Rooker and Noah Rooker; one sister, Brenda Morgan and his beloved cat Midnight. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Edwards and Peggy Bruke.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. They will also receive friends at the home of Scott and Pam Rooker on Monday, February 3, 2025.
