Clifton Michael "Mike" Wrenn, 76, of Oxford, NC passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Franklin County, NC on March 14, 1950, Mike was the son of the late Clifton Douglas Wrenn and Dottie Jane Green Wrenn. He was a graduate of Louisburg College and NC State University. He was a devoted NC State Wolfpack fan. He spent much of his career working for KMart and the RDU airport authority. He was known for his strong work ethic, friendly personality, and willingness to help others.

Mike’s memory will be treasured by his wife Sherry Rogers Wrenn; his daughter Stephanie Wrenn Wright (Sam), and daughter Jessica Wrenn Alexander (Josh); his grandchildren who lovingly knew him as “Pops” Cooper & Fletcher Wright and Claire & Paige Alexander; his brothers George Thomas “Tommy” Wrenn (Trilvia) and Carey Douglas Wrenn (Melissa); nephews Ryan Wrenn (Susan), Brad Wrenn (Sherrie); nieces Teresa Wrenn Wild, Heather Wrenn Roberts (Brandon), Samantha Rogers Davis.

Alongside his parents, he was preceded by his nephew Clyde Douglas Wrenn. He is welcomed by many beloved pets who had gone before him, especially Ruby.

A memorial service celebrating Mike’s life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home in Oxford. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Mike with his family.

Though he is no longer with us, Mike’s selfless love and unwavering devotion to his family will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
