Cramer Matthews Laws, 92, of Oxford passed away Monday, December 9, 2024, at Oxford Health and Rehabilitation.
Born in Durham County on January 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm Washington Matthews and Elba Spain Matthews.
Cramer was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she taught the Open-Door Sunday School Class. She started the Helping Hands Christmas Give Away at Chuck's Snack-N-Tack in Townsville, NC and enjoyed collecting clothes and toys for the needy. Cramer was an administrative assistant for the Leggett Group in Durham and worked at Duke University.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Rev. David Herman will officiate.
Survivors include one son, David Annis (Sheryl); two daughters, Saundra Isabella Valencia and Carol Dietzman (Bruce); six grandchildren, Candace, Melody, Lauren, Nicole, Jeffrey and Jonathan; fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Laws; one granddaughter, Lindsey and three sisters, Jewel McKay, Rachel Browning and Fay Wilkerson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
