Daniel Claude Satterwhite Sr., 73, passed awa y Thursday, May 18, 2023 , at his home.

Born in Vance County at Ma ria Parham Hospital , he was the son of the late John Thomas Satterwhite and Betty Lou Johnson.

Daniel was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy.

A memorial service will be held Monday, May 22, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. in the Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Henderson conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.

Surviving is his wife Dianne Roberts Satterwhite; two sons, John Steven Satterwhite and Daniel Claude Satterwhite Jr.; one stepson, Jackie Tant; three stepdaughters, Peggy Tant West, Angie Tant and Theresa Norwood (Joe); one sister, Do nna Satterwhite Russell (Bill); two half-brothers, Larry Satterwhite (Rhonda) and Ch arles Satterwhite (Charlotte) ; two half-sisters, Paula Satterwhite Lovin (Bill) and D arlene Johnson along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother; Dixie Williamson Satterwhite; one sister, Paula Lovin and one half-brother Michael Ellington and his beloved service dog " Peaches ".

The family will receive friends Monday, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in the Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Henderson. All other times, they will be at the home .
