Danny Lee Bailey, 71, of Stovall passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Duke University Hospital.

Born on August 27, 1954, in Granville County, he was the son of the late Roy Edward Bailey and Lucille Virginia Williamson Bailey.

Danny was a member of Stovall Baptist Church and was baptized there in 1965. He graduated from J.F. Webb High School and retired from John Umstead Hospital after 39 years of service.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Oxford.

Survivors include one daughter, Crystal Bailey; one brother, Ronnie Bailey (Sandra); one sister (Brenda Woodlief); one niece, Tracey Woodlief and three nephews, Avery Woodlief, Adam Bailey and Ethan Bailey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Maria Bailey.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 16, 2025, one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home of Oxford.
