Obituary

Danny entered into Glory with family around him and listening to his favorite gospel music. He loved singing and sharing his love for Jesus with others.

Danny was the son of Nathan Lee Eudy and Kay Suitt Turner. He was a 1977 graduate of South Granville High where he mastered his love for singing. He continued his education at Vance Granville Community College where he received a degree in Basic Law Enforcement Training. His education did not stop there; he continued his training in many areas of law enforcement throughout his career. In 1989, Danny received the honor of an Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the NCDOJ for his education, experience, and training initiatives in law enforcement. He worked his entire 30-year career at Creedmoor Police Department where he climbed the ranks from the bottom up to the top as a Captain with duties as Assistant Chief along with Detective, School Resource Officer, and Interim Chief for a while.
Danny served the town in many areas. He was a Creedmoor Volunteer Fireman for 29 years where many of his duties with police and fire crossed. He served on the Creedmoor Chamber of Commerce, Granville County Fraternal Order of Police, and Granville County Public School Board. Most of all, he was a friend to the people of Creedmoor. Danny would express how he talks and visits with people in town showed him the kindness of the people of Creedmoor and everywhere he went.

During his retirement he sworn in as a part-time Magistrate of the 9th District Judicial Court. He later worked for N-Focus where he was a Code Enforcement Officer for the central part of North Carolina until his health began to fail in 2025.

Danny stayed active at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, singing in the choir and a quartet. Over the years he worked in the children's Sunday School Classes, and various committees. He had a great love for missions and took part in going on the West Virginia mission trips.
He was very active in the Fraternal Order of Police, where he served in many offices over the years. Presently, he served as the Chaplin for the Person, Granville, and Vance chapters.
