Daverine L. Vaughan

Daverine Lassiter Vaughan, 93, of Henderson, NC died Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Maria Parham Health.

Born in Durham County, she was the daughter of the late William Lassiter and Gertie Lowery Joyner.  She was the widow of Ernest Lee Vaughan.

Mrs. Vaughan was retired from the former Laurens Glass Inc. and was a lifelong member of South Henderson Church of God and was a member of the Sanctuary Sunday School Class.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at South Henderson Church of God, conducted by the Rev. Mark Bateman and the Rev. Gary Harper.  Entombment will follow in Sunset Gardens.

Surviving is two daughters, Angela V. Morton and Brenda V. Garrett, a son, Donald Lee Vaughan; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Brady Vaughan a granddaughter, Michelle V. Goswick, a son in-law, Brent Morton and a daughter in-law, Patricia M. Vaughan

The family will receive friends Friday, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church. All other times they will be at the home of Angela V. Morton.

Serving as pall bearers, will be men of the church.

A special "Thank You" goes out to the Henderson Fire Department and Vance County EMS for their efforts given to our mother at her time of need.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, those planning to attend the service, are asked to adhere to all CDC guidelines by wearing a face covering of some sort, and to practice social distancing.
