Debora Anne Deb Matthews Baucom, 64, of 901 Ridge Road, Roxboro, NC, formerly of Chapel Hill, NC, died Monday, July 28, 2014 at Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro, NC.
Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of Clara Tillotson Matthews of Henderson and the late Thomas Faucette Matthews.
Mrs. Baucom was of the Baptist Faith. She was a retired owner and operator of Growing Green Nursery, and was a former teacher in the Person County Schools.
A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 3:00 p.m., at Sunset Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Gary Brummitt.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are two daughters, Mary Katheryn Baucom and Claire Elizabeth Baucom, both of Chapel Hill, NC; and two sisters, Becky I. Matthews of Henderson and Sarah M. Morrow and husband Jim of Roxboro, NC. She was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Matthews Jr.
The family will receive friends Thursday, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., at Flowers Funeral Home. All other times, they will be at the home of her mother, Clara Matthews, 638 Vance Academy Road, Henderson.
