Dennis Wayne Autrey, 67, of Franklinton passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023, at his home.
Born in Granville County, he was the son of the late Albert Clarence Autrey and Ilean Hazel McMahan.
Dennis worked for Autrey Logging for more than forty years. He was an avid outdoorsman had a passion for fishing and gardening. He also loved animals, cooking and watching movies with his family.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home of Creedmoor officiated by Reverend Johnny Yount. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include eight siblings, Patricia Garcia, Albert "Bo" Autrey Jr., Douglas Autrey, Gene Autrey (Vicky), Mark Autrey (April), Rose Simpson (Mike), Ronnie Autrey and Donnie Autrey (Penny); one daughter, Kimberly Faircloth; two grandsons, Lance Autrey and Jared Faircloth and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Rose Marie Autrey; two sisters, Debra Autrey and Teresa Autrey and one son, Bradley Autrey.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home of Creedmoor.
