Donald R. Dickerson Sr.

Donald Ray Dickerson Sr.,72, of Henderson, NC died Saturday, June 1, 2024, at a local nursing home.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Raymond Doc Dickerson and Vallie Harper Dickerson.

Mr. Dickerson was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, conducted by the Dr. Gene Wood.

Surviving is his wife of fifty-one years, Hixie Williamson Dickerson; one daughter, Wendy Dickerson, and two sons, Donald Dickerson Jr. (Melissa) and Wayne Dickerson (Lisa); nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Jackson (Tommy) and Sandra Hargreaves and one brother, Joseph Dickerson, along with many nieces and nephews and extended family members.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church.
