Donald Richard Snow, 85, of Henderson, NC, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 2, 2025.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late George Burton Snow and Julia Myrtle Towe.

Growing up and at the age of 12, Mr. Snow was invited to be a part of the Pop Warner All-American Football League. Following high school, he was enlisted into the National Guard. For over 40 years or more, he worked at Harriet & Henderson Yarns, where he loved his job and those that he worked with very much. He was a member of the NRA and the Vance County Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-one years, Connie R. Snow; one son, Michael Snow (Susan) of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Donna Snow of Concord, NC, and Susan S. Stanton (Timmy) of Louisburg, NC; six grandchildren, Zachary Brack (Chelsea), Sarah Beth Stanton, Mary Catherine Clontz, Hunter Stanton, Audrey Snow, and Makenzie Clontz; one great-grandchild, Myles Brack; one sister, Peggy Piccioli (John); and many nieces and nephews and other extended family. Alongside his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Snow, Ed Snow, Tommy Snow, and Jack Snow; and one step-granddaughter, Taylor Stanton.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Henderson, conducted by Rev. Frank Sossamon. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. and for all other times they will be at the home.
