Dorothy Evelyn Moss

Dorothy Evelyn Moss, born in Kittrell, North Carolina on March 14, 1930, passed away peacefully at her home August 13, 2023. She is the daughter of the late William Lewis Moss Sr. And Vashti Woodlief Moss.

She was a graduate of Zeb Vance High School and Henderson Business College.

Dorothy was a member of Raleigh Road Baptist Church where she served as Financial Secretary, member of the choir and member of the Good Samaritan Sunday School Class.

She was the owner of Moss Stock Farms, LLC.

She retired after thirty-seven years working with the United States Department of Agriculture. After her retirement from USDA, she then helped her brothers (Clifton & Roger) as office managers for the farm. After their death she was owner of Moss Stock Farms.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Raleigh Road Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon and Rev. John Gupton.

She was proceeded in death by her five brothers, William L. Moss (Genevieve), Albert E. Moss (Katherine), Harvey A. Moss (Austine), Clifton B. Moss, Roger L. Moss and one nephew Larry Moss.

She is survived by one niece Linda O'Brien and three nephews, Dr. Ron Moss, Steve Moss and Paul Moss along with several great nieces and nephews including David Moss who operated Moss Stock Farms and looked after her.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Raleigh Road Baptist Church in the fellowship hall.
