Dorothy Mae Paris Pulley, 96, of Hillside Nursing and Rehab in Wake Forest passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022. Before living at Hillside, Dorothy resided in Creedmoor, North Carolina. Dorothy was born in Nash County, NC on October 29, 1925 to the late Henry Ambrose Paris and Beulah L. Register Paris.

Dorothy was a dedicated Christian who served the Lord as a preacher's wife for over 40 years. She was a loving wife and mother who had a passion for quilting and decorating her home. Later in life, she was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Raleigh.

She was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Rudolph Raymond Pulley and two sons, Sherrod Pulley of Creedmoor and Rodney Pulley of Winston Salem and one grandson, Christopher Michael Pulley of Raleigh.

Survivors of Dorothy Pulley include two sons; Dan Pulley and wife Dora of Raleigh, Michael Pulley and wife Diane of Raleigh and Sherrod's surviving former spouse, Carol Pulley Hill of Creedmoor.

Dorothy has six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and a sister Betty Rackley of Nashville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church in Creedmoor, officiated by Reverend Dan Hill. Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. at Union Baptist Church. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Union Baptist Church, 4024 Old Weaver Trail, Creedmoor, NC 27522.
