Douglas Edward Autrey 63, of Franklinton, NC, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Maria Parham Health.

Born in Granville County, he was the son of the late Albert Clarence Autrey Sr. and Ilean Hazel McMahan Autrey.

Douglas was of the Baptist faith. He worked as a truck driver for Waste Management Inc. for over twenty years, and then worked as a Machine Operator for Autry's Logging Inc. and Katesville Pallet Mill Inc. for over a decade more. Douglas was an avid outdoorsman who loved to spend his days out on the lake fishing.

The family will have a Celebration of Life service at a later date.

Survivors include one daughter, Tabatha Boyd (Thomas); two sisters, Patricia Autrey Garcia, and Rose Simpson (Mike); five brothers, Albert Autrey Jr., Gene Autrey (Vicky), Mark Autrey (April), Ronnie Autrey, Donnie Autrey (Penny); a special friend, Merry Kozoman; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Debra Autrey and Teresa Autrey; and one brother, Dennis Autrey.
