Earline M. Lassiter

Helen Earline Manning Lassiter, 87, of Henderson, NC passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Vollie Benjamin Manning and Susie Shaw Morris Manning.

She was a member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was formerly a member of the Women's Ministry and formerly taught Sunday School. In her first marriage, she was the wife of an Air Force Veteran of twenty years, traveling as far as Bangkok, Thailand.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.  Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.

Surviving is her husband of forty-two years, Ronnie M. Lassiter; three daughters, Pamela Byrd (Larry), Joni S. White (Wayne) and Delphia Sams, and one son, James Britt Sams Jr; three brothers, Jimmy M. Manning, Tommy Manning (Ann) and Rev. Bennie Manning (Faye); two stepchildren, Tara Harrell (David) and Michael Lassiter; five grandchildren and seven great-grandsons. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Louise Ayscue, Laura Deans and Rose Manning and two brothers, Douglas Manning Sr. and James Merle Manning and a daughter-in-law, Rene H. Sams.

The family will receive friends on Friday, the hour prior to the service at the church.  All other times, they will be at her home.

Serving as pall bearers will be Paul Manning, Eddie Van Dyke, Brian Rudd, Chris White, Greg Manning, John Manning, Mark Manning and Matthew Manning.
