Elizabeth Ann Ramsey, 75, of Henderson, NC, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025 at her home.
Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late James Edward Ramsey and Eva Mitchell Ramsey.
Ms. Ramsey graduated from Henderson High School in 1968 and attended the Henderson Business College in 1969. She worked at Americal Corporation for 25 years where she also worked as a plant supervisor for a portion of her career.
Ms. Ramsey was a member of South Henderson Pentecostal Church where she served as the Sunday school teacher of the "Living By God's Word" Class. She also was the President of the Morning Circle Ministry for seven years. In addition, she helped the security team at the church for Vacation Bible School. On Tuesday evenings, she held an "Outreach Ministry" for the residents of Courtyard II where she resided. Ms. Ramsey also helped with the kitchen group at the church.
She is survived by many of her cousins. Alongside her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Jean Ramsey, and several aunts and cousins.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Henderson conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon. Interment will immediately follow at Sunset Gardens.
A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 at Sossamon Funeral Home of Henderson.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church to the "Building Fund", 905 Americal Rd. Henderson, NC 27537.
Serving as pallbearers will be William Coker, Adam Pulley, Dwight Pulley, Chris Curl, Scott Rooker and Kevin Wade.
