Ernest H. Cooke Jr.

Ernest Henry Cooke Jr., 94, of Oxford passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Granville Medical Center.

Born in Granville County, he was the son of the late Ernest Henry Cooke Sr. And Myrtle Adcock Cooke.

A graveside service will be held Friday, November 4, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Meadowview Memorial Park officiated by the Reverend Eddie Mauldin.

Ernest is survived by two brothers, Jerry Cooke and Bobby Cooke; two very special nieces, Ashley Vo and Jerrie Cooke; two step-daughters, Linda Parker and Diane Parker and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Mozelle Jackson Cooke; three brothers, Donald Cooke, Clyde Cooke and Carl M. Cooke and one sister, Dorothy Lunsford.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 4, 2022 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home of Oxford (formerly Eakes Funeral Home).
