Erston Ayscue, 80, of Creedmoor passed away March 22, 2025, at Duke Regional Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
Born January 12, 1945, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Solon Ayscue and Katie Mangum Ayscue.
Erston retired from Murdoch Developmental Center as a unit supervisor in 2005 after many years of service. He was an avid animal lover and enjoyed playing golf.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Rogers Cemetery in Creedmoor. Pastor Tommy Lamm will officiate.
Survivors include one sister, Mildred Ayscue Roberts (Billy); one nephew, Danny Ray Roberts (Felicia); two nieces, Billie Jean Pennington (Mark) and Karen Parham (David) and his beloved cat, Lexie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William "Pete" Ayscue; one sister, Betty Ayscue Murray and his close friend, Donna Overbey.
