Evelyn Shaw Autry, 78, of Creedmoor departed this world to join her loved ones on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at her home.
Born in Halifax County, NC on January 8, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Vernon H. Shaw and Callie Liverman Shaw.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Creedmoor. Pastor Johnny Holmes will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Evelyn leaves behind two sons, Franklin D. Autry Jr. (Lisa Bailey) and Michael Glenn Autry (Lisa Wrenn); three grandchildren, Matthew Stephen Autry, Jenna Autry Foster (Ricky Foster II) and Joann Michelle Autry; two great grandchildren, Miley Brooke Foster and Franklin Davis Foster; foster daughter, Vickie Williams and many nieces and nephews. She leaves a legacy like no other. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin "Dee" Autry Sr.; one grandson, Tanner Link Autry; two sisters, Roberta and Pattie and two brothers, Robert and Edward "Booster".
Evelyn loved her family whole heartily as well as her many animals.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home of Creedmoor. Other times they will be at the home of Frank and Lisa Autry, 3031 Les Paul Rd., Creedmoor, NC 27522.
Flowers are accepted.
Pallbearers for the service will be Ricky Foster, Kevin Holmes, Hunter Barbrey, Mark Autrey, Ronnie Autrey, Donnie Autrey and Dannie Autrey.
