Evelyn Gray Robertson Perkinson, 94, of Henderson, NC, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Duke Regional Hospital.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Plummer O. Robertson Sr. And Eva Bradford Robertson.

She was a retired employee of the former Sears Roebuck and Company for thirty-three years.

Surviving are one daughter, Dianne P. Hill (Jim); one son, Wayne B. Perkinson (Sandra); one grandson, Michael B. Perkinson (Mandy); and two great-grandchildren, Tyler B. Perkinson, and Emily F. Perkinson. Alongside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Lucius B. "Shorty" Perkinson; three sisters, Mabel R. Smith, Virginia R. Tunstall, and Eleanor R. Matthews; and five brothers, Russell, Bill, Plummer Jr., Thomas, and Furman Robertson.

A funeral service will be held Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Union Chapel Church of Kittrell conducted by Rev. Radford Fraizer. Interment will immediately follow the service at Sunset Gardens.

The family will receive friends following the interment at the cemetery and for all other times will be at the home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Tunstall, Bobby Tunstall, Patrick Robertson, Terry Perkinson, Jeff Perkinson, and Joe Ledford.
