Faye Clayton Middleton, 75, of Creedmoor, NC passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Grey Clayton and Peggy Holt Mayton Clayton.

Faye worked alongside her husband Jerry in his business and also with Nichol’s Bookkeeping and M&B Trucking for many years.

She was a faithful member of Living Word Baptist Church where she served and supported the church as treasurer for over 15 years and taught children’s Sunday school as well.

Surviving are her only daughter, Amy Overstreet (Kris); three grandchildren, Macy Overstreet, Chelsey Overstreet, and Austin Overstreet; one great-granddaughter, Lauren, with another great-granddaughter on the way; two sisters, Wilma Woodall (Keith), and Margie Clayton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins she loved dearly. Alongside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Jerry Andrew Middleton and  her twin brother Ray Clayton. 

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate nurses, aides and staff of Medi Home Health & Hospice for the comfort & dignity shown during this difficult time. A special thank you to her daily caregiver Judy Brodie for her kindness and devoted care.

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Living Word Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Wesley Holder. Interment will immediately follow the service at Carolina Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 12-2:00 p.m. at the church and for all other times will be at the home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Mangum, Tony Clayton, Aaron Currin, Scot Anderson, Mason Anderson, and Grey Mangum.
