Vos
September 26, 2024
Frances Jackson Vos, 77, of Oxford passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024, at
Duke Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at South Granville Memorial Gardens in Stem, NC.
Born in Lee County, NC she was the daughter of the late Leo Clinton Jackson and Lorena Isabelle Chappell.
Frankie dedicated her life to caring for others and continued to do so even after retirement. She spent her early years as a candy striper and later served 30 years as a Nurse at Murdoch Developmental Center in Butner, NC. She was extremely proud of her profession and shared the love of nursing with her family. In her free time she enjoyed painting and sharing her creations with her loved ones, reading, spending time with her loyal companion Sassy, cooking meals for her family and spreading the love of her Almighty God. Frankie was the perfect example of a strong, dedicated mother, Mimi and friend and will be truly missed by those she loved most. She was always the first to give a lending hand, advice when needed or just a laugh. Frankie loved her family and they were the center of her life and will be remembered and cherished as a loving wife, mother, Mimi, great-grandma and friend.
Survivors include two daughters, Joy Flamion (Charles) and Hope Moore; two bonus children, Roman Vos III (Cathy) and Sandy O'Brien; four grandchildren, Matthew Layton, Brianna Flamion (TJ), Leah Moore and Summer Moore; four bonus grandchildren, Vanessa Price, Corey Price (Kayla), Jessica Vos (Jordan) and Roman Vos IV; three bonus great grandchildren, Roman Vos V, Jayden Vos and Kora Price and two special cousins, Lenny Weaver (Jr.) and Fay Woodruff (Randy). The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses and care staff at Duke Regional CCU for the amazing care given to her in her final days.
