Frank Howard Pendergrass, 80, of Henderson, NC passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023, at his home.

Born in Warren County, he was the son of the late Raymond Greene Pendergrass and Maybyrd Currin Pendergrass.  He was the widower of Frances Geraldine Short Pendergrass.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Henderson, conducted by the Rev. Henry Abbott.  Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Surviving are two sons, Joe Pendergrass and Jeff Pendergrass (Amanda); two brothers, Raymond Pendergrass and Ronald Pendergrass; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one daughter-in-law Elizabeth Pendergrass.  Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Tony Pendergrass; one brother; Sam Pendergrass; one grand-daughter Tabatha Pendergrass and one daughter-in-law; Glenda Pendergrass.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home.  All other times, they will meet at the home of his son Joe Pendergrass.

Serving as pall bearers will be Roy Satterwhite, Tyler Reavis, Braeden Pendergrass, Ricky Pendergrass, Clifton Pendergrass and James Pendergrass.
