Fred Thomas Gill 86, of Henderson, NC, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at his home.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late John Hunter Gill and Bessie Wortham Gill. He was the widower of Yvonne Mustian Gill.

He was a member of Cokesbury Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Cokesbury Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Michael Edmonson. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include three sons, Ashley Fred Gill (Kristi), Timothy Wayne Shearin and James Alton Shearin (Michele); five grandchildren, Timothy Wayne Shearin Jr, Taylor Shearin Griles (Alex), Kaleigh Yvonne Shearin, Gracie Gill and MacKenzie Gill; four great grandchildren, Maddox Griles, Sutton Griles, Kami Shearin and Aria Zehr; two brothers, Charles Hunter Gill (Sally) and John Richard Gill (Linda). In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Curtis Gill.

The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. At other times they will be at the home.
