Gilbert Gordon Winters, 93, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023, at his home.
Born in Oakland County, Michigan, he was the son of the late Frank Ernest Winters and Alma Elizabeth Hautala.
Gilbert served in the United States Air Force for three years during the Korean War era and was a 32nd degree Mason for more than thirty years. He was a Chemist by trade and had a passion for people, gardening and spent endless hours helping to raise his grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Friday, Janurary 5, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home in Creedmoor.
Survivors include three children, Robyn Lake (Jeffery), Brian Winters (Laurie) and Jeffrey Winters; two grandchildren, Shayde Lake and Adtler Lake; three great grandchildren, Declan, Kieran and Lukas; one brother, Harry Winters and a sister, Nancy Winters. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
