Gladys McGinnis Edwards 90, of Oxford, NC, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Maria Parham Health.

Born in Claiborne County, TN she was the daughter of the late Coy Lester McGinnis and Beulah Dean Anders McGinnis.

Survivors include her husband of forty years, Billy Thomas Edwards Sr., one stepdaughter, Rose Frazier (Mack Collier); one stepson, Billy Thomas Edwards Jr (Scarlett); one sister, Shirleen Bolen (Jack); a brother-in-law, Jimmie Woullard; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Freels; two sons, Jerry Akers and David Akers; and one sister, Charlotte Woullard.
