Granville "Buckey" Hartwell Talley Jr., 68, of Wilton passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Duke University Hospital.

Born in Granville County on November 1, 1954, he was the son of the late Granville Hartwell Talley Sr. and Cornelia Dement.

"Buckey" met his wife Debra fifty-three years ago and they enjoyed forty-eight years of marriage full of laughter and love.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Whitfield Talley; one son, Jason Talley; one daughter, Tina Talley Tyler; four grandchildren, Jamie Tyler, Trevor Tyler, Bryce Talley and Jordan Talley; two sisters, Betty Ellington (Harvey) and Susan Talley; one brother, Connie Talley (Teresa); one niece, Angela Luck (Chad); two nephews, Gregory Ellington (Kelley) and Cameron Talley (Ashley) and many extended family members. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Talley.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 12, 2023, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home of Creedmoor. Entombment will be private.
