Harold Spencer Cox

Harold Spencer Cox (71) passed peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, September 27, 2026.

He was born in Granville County to the late Alice Francis Cox Elliott.

Harold enjoyed reading the paper, playing pool, westerns, and spending time with family. He was an avid fan of John Wayne and Elvis.

Harold was preceded in death by his brothers RoyEdward Elliott and John Elliott. Harold is survived by his wife of 53 years Luanne Cox; his children Harold Lee (Vicky) and Christopher Lee (Kelly); his grandchildren Christen (Jonathan), Courtney (Cameron), Christopher Scott, McKenzie (Wesley), Makayla, Isaac, Caleb, Jordan, Austin (Emma) and Nicholas (Holly); and his great grandchild Noah. Harold is also survived by brother Ronnie Elliott and sister Nancy Binay.

Harold will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, October 2 at 10:00 am followed by the service at 11:00 am officiated by Rev. Victor Blackwell. Services will be held at Sossaman Funeral Home located at 106 Clement Ave Oxford, NC 27565
