Helen B. Adcock

Helen Boyd Adcock, 70, of Henderson, NC died Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at her home.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Harold Campbell Boyd and Mary Ann Smith Boyd. She was the widow of Charles Newcomb Ayscue and Chad Roy Adcock.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Harriett Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Will Breedlove. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.

Surviving is a daughter, Charlene Candace Ayscue, one son, Charles Harold Ayscue; four grandchildren, Charles Ethan Ayscue, Allison Paige Wilson, Courtney Jaide Wilson and Danielle Kincaide Wilson; one stepdaughter, Crystal Adcock; two sisters, Belinda Boyd Collier (Danny Ray) and Deborah Boyd Harris and one brother, John Harold Boyd (Michelle), along with many nieces and nephews and extended family members. Along with her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Ann Boyd.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 1, 2023, from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home of Henderson. All other times, they will be at her home.

Serving as pall bearers will be Timothy Dudley, Rod Moss, Joanna Zabara, Hunter Allen, Brian Clayton and Jaheim Allen.
