Helen Ayscue Parham, 89, affectionately known as "Granny "of Henderson, NC passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at her home.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late David Lee Ayscue and Val Journigan Ayscue.  She was the widow of Maurice Wilson Parham.

She was a member of Clearview Church (formerly Tabernacle Baptist Church).  She was formerly employed at Carolina Sports Wear and was a dealer with Stanley Home Products.  For many years she was the owner of Chavasse Mini Mart and in her later years she was a Caregiver for the elderly.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Sossamon Funeral Home of Henderson, conducted by her great nephew, Pastor Brandon Ayscue.  Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.

Surviving is one daughter, Brenda P. Seaman; two brothers, William H. Ayscue and Talmadge E. "Buck" Ayscue; three grandchildren, Cameron Saemann, Lisa Lister (Andy) and Erica Seaman and two great grandchildren, Cade Lister and Ella Lister and a very close family friend, Gale Hayes.  Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Pauline Rigsbee, Jane Arnold, Christine Williams and Neta Mae White and two brothers, Hubert Ayscue and Jack Ayscue and a son-in-law, Charles Seaman.

The family will receive friends at her home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Andy Hayes, Cameron Saemann, Andy Lister, Cade Lister, Alex Eldridge, Gary Tillotson, Adrian Ayscue and James Williams Jr.
